How many days do you need in Tamarindo?

Is Tamarindo good for non-surfers?

What is the best time to visit Tamarindo?
December through April (dry season) has guaranteed sun and the liveliest atmosphere. May, June, and November offer great weather with fewer crowds and lower prices. September–October is the rainiest but cheapest stretch. Surf and most activities run year-round.
Is Tamarindo safe for tourists?
Tamarindo is one of Costa Rica's most tourist-friendly towns and generally safe. Use standard beach-town common sense: don't leave valuables unattended on the beach, use taxis or rideshares late at night, and swim near the lifeguard-flagged areas.
